Compte-rendu des événements

On the 1st of February last, ICF Paris International was privileged to host a breakfast meeting with Jackee Holder who is a leadership coach and coach trainer based in the UK. Jackee is a member of the NHS (National Health Service) Leadership Academy Coach register and qualified coach supervisor and member of the Coaching Supervision Academy faculty. Her love of writing began back in her early school days and she is the author of three non-fiction books and numerous articles on the value of reflective, expressive and therapeutic writing. She runs online journal writing courses and recently published, The Write Around The Trees Writing Map.

I had the good fortune to attend this meeting, and here I share my account of Jackee’s Reflective Writing Salon.

A coach works in the shadow of his client’s light so how can s/he even consider that he might abuse his power. Is the coach conscious of how he might be using his power?

International Coaching Week 2016

Ethics is the underscore for the Coaching Relationship

During the International Coaching Week 2016 that took place from the 16th to the 21st of May I was fortunate enough to participate in a “conversation around ethics” with guest speaker Kees de Vries. This event was organised by ICF Paris International, part of the Paris IDF chapter under the presidency of Sabine Jordan-Dassonville. In this article I share my personal experience and what I took away from that conversation with Kees and the other participants. By Jo Leymarie, ICF Paris International

Alison HodgeICF chapter Paris Ile de France organised the second ICF Paris International breakfast meeting on 14th October last - in English. As a follow up, we are delighted to share with you this article on the event.

Our guest speaker this time was Alison Hodge from the UK, who presented highlights from her doctoral study on coaching supervision and we discussed together about how important it is for us as coaches to keep fit for purpose.

The event was attended by seasoned as well as relatively new coaches, coming from a wonderful variety of national and professional backgrounds. Various participants have shared with us that they had particularly appreciated the high-quality of the speaker and how this event contributes to their professional growth.

In view of the recent events in Paris, I would like to add a personal note about how important I think it is to look after our resilience and resourcefulness.

For the participants we trust this article can serve them as a useful resource. For others, we hope this will be of interest to you. Enjoy reading!
